I am a huge movie fan. I don't simply enjoy watching movies and having a good time. I also enjoy discussing about a good movie, and watching documentaries about the making of movies. I don't choose movies to watch based on actors, I choose movies based on director. I have my favorite directors, but I don't give too much thought to favorite actors. On the other hand I am not a filmmaker, so I don't get all the technical details. I like watching or reading about the technical aspects of filmmaking (especially CG), but I am way more interested in the story, the characters, and the general feeling of the movie. I should pay more attention to the writers, but they are unjustly ignored by the studios and general public, and it's harder to keep track of them. However the writer's DVD commentary is often the most interesting. All this, to tell you that I am going to post reviews to movies/DVD as I watch them. The main reason is that I have a very bad memory, so I want to capture my initial reaction to a movie. These movies can be old and new, but I will not waste my time in writing about a bad movie. I hope you enjoy reading my small reviews.
